and Rona Freed. The film is artfully crafted and respectfully depicts the religious organization known as Los Hermanos
de la Fraternidad Piadosa de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno also known as the Penitente Brotherhood.

This Hispanic cultural gem is a fictional drama that takes place in a Penitente community based closely upon
Northern New Mexico Penitential practices, ceremonies and traditions.

This film was near to Raul Julia's heart and features what he felt was his best dramatic work.
I have searched and located the ownership rights in a company in Paris, France with the possibility of
preserving and getting it donated to the National Hispanic Cultural Center located in Albuquerque, New Mexico
